REFRIGERATOR & FREEZER
ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Most recently, there has been an energy label for industrial refrigeration and freezing equipment similar to the one you know from the private market. There are a number of exceptions such as. cabinets with glass door, cabinets without internal fan, etc. However, you can now compare the completely ordinary industrial stainless steel cabinets in relation to energy consumption. Low energy refrigerators are typically in Energy Class B or Energy Class A, while low energy freezers are typically in Energy Class C or D.

CLIMATE CLASS
The climate class indicates how high a temperature the cabinet is built to operate under. This is a factor that we most often see overlooked in Denmark. With only a few summer months, many restaurants do not have air conditioning - that means very high temperatures in the kitchen. Some cabinets are not built for temperatures higher than 25, while others are built for temperatures of 43 degrees around the compressor. This does not mean room temperature, but the temperature up under the ceiling where the heat accumulates and the refrigerator exhales its warm air.
REFRIGERANT
If you are in the process of acquiring a refrigerator now, you must be aware that the refrigerant type R404 is being phased out. The refrigerant of this type is rising sharply in price these years and this means that the cost of repairing such cabinets will be costly. The new refrigerants are R600 and R290, just as R134 can also still be obtained. These gases are better for the environment than R404 and are far more future-proof.
CONTROL OF THE CABINET
The most recognized controllers of refrigerators are called Dixell, Eliwell and Carel. These 3 are known for providing highly reliable steering and good features.
INTEGRATED CATCHERS
More and more manufacturers are choosing to supply their cabinets with the integrated beam systems. You do not have to go out and buy expensive shelf brackets to get extra shelves in the closet - you can just buy an extra shelf. The integrated beams are also much easier to clean with round surfaces just to wipe over with a cloth.
GOOD OPTIONS
Door alarm and self-closing
Door alarm is an advantage if something should get stuck in the refrigerator door. You thus hear a sound that reminds you that the door is not closed. Self-closing is also an advantage, which gives you extra security that a small push to the door still ensures you a completely closed refrigerator door.
Internal lighting
The internal lighting helps you find the item inside the closet. Choose cabinets with LED lights for less maintenance.
Lock
If others have access to the kitchen, it may be an idea to be able to lock the cupboard off. Note that the lock cannot be retrofitted.
Door pedal
A very smart function, which makes it possible to open the refrigerator door with your foot - so you have both hands free to hold what you need in there.
Insulation Thickness
We see insulation thicknesses usually starting around 60 mm and all the way up to 85 mm on the top models.
